Poulo Condore- Con Son currently

Pulo Condore or Poulo Condore is the main island of the Côn Đảo archipelago (which includes sixteen islands).

The penal colony was a place of banishment used by the Annamite power before French colonization.

It was reused by the French in 1862, after the Treaty of Saigon and remained in operation until 1975.
